Black Hawks Up

Tonight, just as we began dinner, we heard the too-too-too-too-too-to-too-too-...

Black Hawk helicopters, just over our pasture.

There are a number of reasons I do not like those things.

However, I think they supply a national security need, and so I will acquiesce.

But I do not like them.

They go over us once in awhile. I think they're creepy. I feel like I'm in a war zone when i hear them.

A few years ago, a military helicopter "buzzed" our pasture, and horses, for fun, and one of our dear, dear horses went into seizure, ran into our highway fence, broke his neck, and died.

So men and women risk their lives int the Middle East. In their meantime here in the Midwest, they display poor judgement for whatever reason.

And that's all I can give.

That would be a sight! We don't generally get the helicopters here, but every now and then we have very large, loud jets fly over... the whole house rumbles!
