This has to be one of the Newport "cottages." Your tour reminds me how much I miss the east coast and the Atlantic Ocean.
Your mention of germs makes me laugh. The only place I felt phobic about germs was the NYC subway, especially holding onto the railing up and down the stairs. I always washed my hands the minute I got inside the apartment.
